salvation lies somewhere in the truth of her past life #Romance #TimeTravel @BethDCarter @evernightpub

Hey folks! Today I’m happy to introduce you to Beth D. Carter and her story Recover Me!

~ * ~ BIO ~ * ~

I grew up in Southeast Missouri, in what is known as the Bootheel, and dreamed of one day escaping small town living to explore the world. Eventually, I made my way back and forth across the US; I’ve lived in Paris, France, and seen the wonders of Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Scandinavia. But Missouri will always be home. I use settings I know to base my stories around, writing about the ordinary people thrust into extraordinary circumstances. I firmly believe in happy-ever-afters and enjoy spreading a little love in the world. I’m easy to find on the web and love to hear from readers.

Evie Duncan’s dreams are slowly taking over her life. Every night she falls in love with the man invading her subconscious, playing out scenes from a past life. It becomes harder and harder to wake and leave her dream man behind.

Bishop Kain has devoted his life to protecting crime boss Sherman Groto, but when he spots Evie at an underground fight, all he can think about is her. He tries to keep his distance, but like a moth to a flame, she’s a siren he can’t resist.

Danger is coming for Evie and her salvation lies somewhere in the truth of her past life. If Bishop can save her, he may be the one man who can bring her into the light…and for once, she might be willing to stay there.

~ * ~ EXCERPT ~ * ~

As she threaded her way through the thick throng of bodies, a tingling awareness danced over her skin. The last time she’d experienced such a weird feeling, she’d slipped off a cliff and ended up in a hospital. Deciding to be cautious, she stopped and turned in a slow circle to study the people around her. As if an invisible hand guided her, Evie looked to her left.

A man moved through the crush of people, parting them as if he were Moses at the Red Sea. He was a complete stranger, and she had never seen him before, yet there was something about him that sparked a familiarity. She pushed forward, trying to get through the dense crowd to get a better view of his face. His height worked to her advantage because she was able to easily follow, but she halted once she saw him going up a set of concrete stairs guarded by a few big burly men. For a split second, he turned her way. Her heart thumped wildly in her chest and every fiber of her being wanted … needed … to touch him, but he disappeared out of sight. She searched the second level until he came into view once more, and she was able to breathe again.

John.

He was here. He was real!

Subtle changes made this John a little different. A tad taller, which said something because he’d been tall in her dream world. Fantasy John had held a quiet strength that made people respect him. This John was so heavily muscled, with an aura of danger swirling around him, that people instinctively moved out of his path, giving him a wide berth. He had a militaristic look, with blunt-cut dark hair and a rigid posture any soldier would be envious of, but something told her he hadn’t been in any branch of service. She stared at him, unblinking, until he suddenly looked down and their gazes met.

The saliva dried up in her mouth as her heart thundered with a mixture of excitement and happiness. Any doubts she might have had about his identity disappeared instantly as the gossamer threads between them solidified. The people, the fight … everything disappeared, leaving them the only two people in the world. Curiosity filled his face. She reached out a hand but was bumped by someone walking by, abruptly pulling her out of the dream-like trance. She blinked and he was gone.

Leather-wearing, motorcycle riding PI Heaven Vaughan is working undercover in a Las Vegas casino for the DA. She must find the evidence to convict the casino boss of ordering her brother killed, but the tall, dark, sex-on-a-stick head of security is constantly watching her. Just knowing he’s got his monitors focused on her makes her hot, and she can’t help but make sure he has something as equally arousing to look at.

Straight-arrow Darius Turner has one job—to safeguard the people in the casino. The feisty redhead dominating his viewing pleasure is playing havoc with his duties and with his libido. All he wants is to take her up on her teasing invitations, but he can’t let her get too close. If Heaven discovers his true identity, there’ll be hell to pay.

~ * ~ EXCERPT ~ * ~

Heaven paused at the office while he opened the door and walked into his lair. Behind the desk, monitors filled the wall.

For a second, she stopped. Every part of the casino and hotel were displayed. She pointed at the wall.

“You watch all of these? At once?”

Darius chuckled as he passed her. “I have a team who views them.”

The corner of his lips turned up. “I check up on things from time to time.”

He lugged out the chair in front of the desk. “Please.”

Heaven sat down. “So, you enjoy watching?”

As soon as the words were out of her mouth, she heard the innuendo.

His eyebrow rose as devilment danced in his eyes. “You could say that.”

“I didn’t mean…” Heat crossed her cheeks. How unprofessional to blush. She’d never been the teenager with a crush on the quarterback. She was a professional private investigator.

“So why did you bring me here?”

He sat down behind the solid, mahogany desk.

“To talk.”

Her whole essence quivered. With arousal or fear? She cleared her throat. “About?”

He placed his fingers in front of his mouth as if hiding the truth.

“I’m concerned about what just happened to you.” His thumb twitched. “Does it happen often?”

Heaven held back a gasp as relief rushed through her. He didn’t know about her job with the DA to gather evidence against the boss.

“Yes.”

Darius grimaced. “I see.”

“We’ve established that.”

She pointed toward the bank of monitors behind him.

by Errin M. Stevens
Genre: Paranormal Romantic Suspense
Since her father died, Kate Sweeting’s home life has been in the pits,
her well-being on life support. Her future looks desolate until she
and her mother, Cara, make another plan: abandon their shriveled
existence for more promising prospects on the coast, where Cara can
play small-town librarian-bachelorette and Kate can figure out what’s
up with that secretive Blake family from the beach.
Everyone is eerily captivated with Kate and her mother, and Cara is the first
to figure out why when the man of her dreams arrives all dripping and
devoted and closed-mouthed about what he intends. Kate is willing to
go along with their subterfuge for a while, but eventually makes a
charge for the water to learn what her mother is hiding. Gabe Blake
is there waiting for her…and so is someone considerably less
friendly. By the time Kate navigates her way home, everything will
have changed for her—what she feels, what she wants, and what
she’ll risk to be with the man she loves.
Breakwater
The Mer Chronicles Book 2
The sirens of Griffins Bay are in trouble, and the recent slew of royal
suicides looks to be the least of their worries.
For one, unless a blood relative of the queen shows up, no one’s around
to staff the monarchy. Well, except for a whack-job bureaucrat and he
seriously won’t do. Worse is the community unrest threatening siren
society, a problem caused by too many humans in the pool, which means
Simon and his off-limit girlfriend will have to run and hide if they
want to make more of their flirtation…
The solution doesn’t inspire confidence at first, but the Blakes have
everything at hand to set their world to rights – namely, a hidden
queen, a dead prince, and a facility for human manipulation. Once
they find their sea legs, they’ll restore order, distribute smart
phones, and drive that conniving bureaucrat to a grisly, satisfying
end.
Errin Stevens writes paranormal fiction and reads practically everything
she can get her hands on. She’s currently working through the Time

Once dead, always dead #Holiday #Vampires @ElyzabethVaLey @evernightpub

A Christmas Realm
Tale, 1

Once dead, always dead.

Christopher Beaufort works in what could easily be the most cheerful place
on earth, Santa’s Christmas Realm, but as a vampire, he is nothing more than a
shadow among the living.

Worn out by the demands of his job as Chief Toy Officer, Santa assigns a
human woman to help him, Samantha Kraus. Tantalized by the fiery red-head,
Christopher makes it his business to seduce her, but as he does, something
within him begins to stir.

Life is a gift in which every moment counts.

When Samantha Kraus accepted the job of assistant manager at Santa’s, she
expected elves, fairies and maybe some shifters, but definitely not vampires.
Least of all did she imagine her boss would be one of them or that she’d be attracted
to him.

Though she tries to remain professional, Samantha finds herself falling for
Christopher. But, can a vampire’s heart ever beat again?

Thank you
for having me on your blog today!

I’m
excited to share my latest release with you, The Beauty of Forever (A Christmas
Realm Tale I)
. This is the
first story in a new paranormal – holiday themed series, which revolves around
Santa’s kingdom in the North Pole and the different people who work for him.

Christmas is my favorite holiday and I’ve always
enjoyed both reading and writing holiday-themed stories. One day, I was
chatting with my sister about some story ideas I had and she mentioned
vampires. My muse immediately made the connection.

Vampires + Christmas.

 I was a bit
baffled. How was I going to make that work? After all, vampires are supposed to
be dark, gloomy and Christmas is the opposite. I set the story aside for a good
year or so, until, I began toying with the idea again and that’s when
Christopher formally introduced himself. I could picture him, a 500 year old
vampire standing at a floor to ceiling window, looking down at what was
supposed to be the happiest place on Earth and feeling miserable.

Why?

Little by little, Christopher opened up to me along
with Santa’s empire. I had turned the key to the door of a world in which
vampires, elves, fairies, fauns, shifters and more co-inhabited and I greedily
immersed myself in it.

Every time I think about Christopher, Samantha and
everyone in The Beauty of Forever, my heart soars. I can only hope you feel
the same. Enjoy!

Excerpt:
“That went well with Jacobs, right?” she blurted,
searching for a distraction.

Christopher looked at her. The intensity in his gaze
threw her back and her knees weakened.

“Yes,” he replied. “You were fantastic. I can see now why
Santa hired you.” His mouth thinned. “Jacobs was practically salivating after
you.”

Samantha blinked, surprised by the ferocity in his tone.
“I don’t know him as well as you do, but from what he spoke, he seemed devoted
to his wife.”

“It’s not what I saw.”

She smiled, trying to ignore the low timber of his voice
and the way it curled in her belly, heating her from the inside out.

“Is that why you were glaring at him while we were
working?” she joked.

“I wasn’t glaring. I was simply—” Christopher raked his
gaze over her. “Watching.”

Samantha shivered. She lifted her chin. “And did you
observe anything of interest?”

Christopher slid his arms to the height of her elbows. He
didn’t touch her, but the hairs on her body rose. Nerve ends tingled.
Christopher leaned in. “Absolutely.”

“Mind sharing?”

What was she asking? She knew full well they weren’t
talking about work anymore, but she couldn’t stop herself. Her body had taken
over her mind and all it wanted was for Christopher to come closer. She craved
to see him bring out his humanity in the most carnal way possible.

“I’m not sure you’re ready.”

“Try me.”

Christopher grinned. His gaze held a warning which she
should have heeded because the moment his lips touched hers, she knew she was
lost. Burying his hand into her hair, he slanted his head and dove into her mouth.
Like a flower urgently seeking sunshine, she opened up to him. His groan
reverberated through her and she arched against him. His minty taste swept over
her, taking her by surprise. Holding her firmly, he devoured her like a man
starved of nourishment. Each stroke of his tongue drew her further away from
reality, into a bubble where only they existed. Desperate to find something to
hold on to, to keep her grounded, Samantha fisted his shirt.

It didn’t help. The world vanished, leaving only him
behind. His essence. His strength. The heat of his passion, which she
frantically desired.

The train lurched to a stop and they stumbled, breaking
apart. Gasping for air, Samantha stared at Christopher. His eyes had deepened
to an indigo blue and he had a wildness to him that spoke of danger and
unyielding hunger. For her? She swallowed. She had to stop this now. Before it
got too far. It was one thing to flirt with him so he would smile, and another
one entirely different to kiss on a train full of people.

“Christopher—”

People shoved their way out of the wagon, drawing them
close again. Christopher wrapped her in his arms. His scent flooded her and for
an instant, she shut her eyes and pretended the sound against her ear wasn’t
her own heart thrashing, but his, beating.

But it wasn’t. The knowledge chilled her to the bones.
Christopher wasn’t really alive. He spoke and he moved but his heart was dead.
How did he even exist?

The piercing whistle of the shutting doors signaled the
train’s departure. Christopher tilted her chin.

“Are you all right?”

Samantha sucked in her cheeks.

“Christopher, we can’t do this,” she said.

“By this, I imagine you’re talking about the kiss?

She nodded.

“Why not, Samantha?”

He stroked her bottom lip with his thumb, leaving a
tingling trail which echoed in other parts of her body. Damn it all if she
didn’t want to nip his finger and tease him. She yearned to kiss him again, to
feel his unpredictable heat against her.

“I don’t see the problem. We’re both adults and we’re
attracted to each other,” he continued.

You’re not alive.

“We need to work together. Things could get complicated,”
she said instead.

Christopher cupped her cheek. His eyes narrowed and he
set his jaw. “Complicated?”

“We work together,” she repeated.

Wanting you scares me. It’s unnatural.

Christopher raised his eyebrows.

“I see.” He disentangled himself from her. Samantha
shivered and fought the urge to wrap her arms around herself. Christopher
smirked. He knew.

“I’ll respect your wishes, Samantha. For now. But, just
remember, doll, I’m an animal of prey. What I want, I hunt down and get. I’ve
lived long enough to know I want you,
Samantha, and a night of hot, passionate
sex won’t make things, as you put it, complicated.” The train started to slow
again. Their stop was next. Christopher leaned in. “Sooner or later, doll, I
will have you.”

Thank you for
hosting me with new release MM romance Hidden Magic.
I had this
story in my head for months before I started to write it. The elf, Owain
Lovage, was so clear in my imagination but not his lover to be. Rowan kept
disappearing and then reforming. I knew he had to be special because Owain is
so sure he can never have a human partner.

Owain is
lonely but he’s a happy soul, already in love with nature and as much as Rowan
stirs him as they meet, Owain is calm and takes the love poured out to him from
Rowan like gifts.

Rowan is
highly sexual and used to taking what he needs from the men he meets. He
pursues Owain from the start, but as soon as they connect, he’s lost in a pull
of attraction he’s never felt before. He falls in love with Owain long before
he knows it.

There’s a
twist, as always, in my romances and of course a happy ending. I hope you enjoy
the passion between these two men and the fun in the build to the end where I
allow life to play tricks on them the way we all know it can.
Warning: This MM love story contains, MM
sex, rimming, frottage, in the frequent love scenes

Read a Teaser 18+

Owain’s
desperation grew in the night. He used magic to make coffee after spending too
long in the shower. He walked to work trying to calm himself and before he knew
what he was doing he used magic to speed and lift his steps. Only when he went
through the small gate to the stable area, and, from force of habit, turned to
close it, did he realize he’d left no prints in the snow. He dropped his feet
to the ground. The layer of snow made a dull scrunch as it compacted.
A frown
creasing his forehead, Owain entered the stables and went to the large
enclosure where his older red deer had a space each. Their winter quarters made
them impatient to work, and Owain soothed them with his magical touch. “Shush,
shush, I’ll let you run in the paddock today after the school visit. The
forecast is for sunshine by noon. Not that you care if it snows.” He stroked
them, affection in every move. The deer snorted softly.
He was at
his desk checking the staff roster on the computer when a worker brought Rowan
to him. Owain’s heart thudded as he stood to greet Rowan. He minimized the
document window and went around the desk.
“Thank you,
Ben.” He dismissed his colleague with a smile, but as soon as Ben had closed
the office door as he left, Owain went to Rowan. “It’s great to see you. I, er,
I didn’t know if you’d take me up on my offer.”
Rowan gazed
at him, his eyes glittering with pleasure. “To visit you—how could I not? I
thought about you all night. I almost called the cell phone number on your
business card. Is it your personal number?”
Owain
nodded as he answered. “I wished I could call you. I thought it might be too
soon. It is my personal number. The landline number is for the farm, but I
didn’t want the staff bothered by after-hours calls, hence my number—”
Rowan’s sudden
move, grabbing his shoulders and kissing him, stopped Owain’s gabble. He sank
into the soft joy of Rowan’s lips on his and pushed his hands around Rowan’s
waist to hold him fast and linger in the kiss, until the sensation of floating
in a haze of lust became real and Owain lifted them both from the ground.
Rowan broke
the kiss and took a deep breath. “Your kisses are—”
Panic made
Owain’s stomach churn, and he brought their feet to the floor thanking any
deity listening that he’d only elevated an inch or so. “—so are yours.” He
caught his breath resting his forehead on Rowan’s.
Rowan
smiled, finishing his sentence. “So sexy.”
Pleasure
closed Owain’s eyes.
Rowan
pushed his arms around Owain’s neck and pressed his body close.
Rowan’s
hard body against his enticed until Owain swept his hands down to Rowan’s ass
and grabbed it to thrust his erection on Rowan’s. The hard column of Owain’s
cock straining against his pants rubbed on Rowan’s. Owain sighed into his soft
kisses. “This is no place to make out.”
Rowan
whispered between hungry kisses. “Lock the door. My dick’s leaking. I’ll lose
it and come soon. Let me suck your cock. You have to want that.”
Owain’s
urgent desire overwhelmed him. He edged to the door, simultaneously kissing
Rowan and bringing him to lean there. He couldn’t lock the door from inside,
but they could block entry with their bodies.
Rowan
opened his jeans and dragged them and his underwear down his thighs. His huge
cock sprang free. He moaned low and grabbed Owain’s hand to close it around his
dick.
Owain
gasped as the shape and feel of Rowan’s cock in his hand sent sparks of
pleasure down his body to pool in his balls, and his own cock jerked against
his pants.
“Uh, uh,
fucking hell.” Rowan thrust his hips, and his dick shifted in Owain’s fist.
Owain
tightened his grip and slipped his other hand around Rowan’s body to finger the
crack of Rowan’s hard ass, as he took kiss after kiss from Rowan’s open mouth.
Rowan’s cum
shot over Owain’s hand and along his wrist. Rowan ground his cock into Owain’s
grasp as he moaned. He stilled slowly and returned Owain’s kisses. “I need your
cock in my mouth, fucking now—” He pulled away from Owain and dropped to his
knees.
With
shaking hands, Owain helped his lover open his pants and push them down his
thighs along with his underwear. Rowan’s lick along his aching cock made him
groan.
Rowan
lapped at the head of Owain’s dick as he grasped the shaft. He circled
feather-light touches around Owain’s balls with his fingertips.
Owain’s
stomach clenched tight. He couldn’t breathe. The feel of Rowan’s lips around
his cock set him moaning. The tight, wet friction as Rowan brought his dick in
and out of his mouth nearly sent Owain to his knees. He grabbed Rowan’s
shoulders and let himself thrust. Streaks of sensation gathered between his
legs. His balls lifted high under Rowan’s touch. Owain’s orgasm stormed over
him with pleasure so exquisite he fell back against the door, and as his knees
sagged, he struggled not to groan too loudly.
Rowan held
him there, waiting until Owain had pumped all his seed into his throat. He
stroked Owain’s tense stomach, forcing more moans to escape, and his cock
throbbed in Rowan’s mouth.
“Rowan—” He
murmured the name, wanting to kiss those lips that had brought him such pleasure.
