I asked Alexandra Forry, “How did you get your start in writing and what fuels you to continue?” and here is the response.
I always want to be a romantic author so after High School was finish, I sat down and wrote WILDFLOWER. Then my birth father got sick and I took care of him until he die. A few years went by until I met someone….
For my 22nd Birthday, I’ve decided to go to the newly opened Mob Museum. Little did I know, I was about to meet someone who played a big role of helping me with “Omerta Affair” and this is the story.
A few day’s before I went to the Mob Museum, I went on the museum’s website to see if some event was going to take place, while I was there I found out that Frank Cullotta would be there signing his book “Cullotta” during the same time as I was going to be there. Now at the time, I didn’t know who he was until I Wikipedia his name and found out that the character Frank Marino from one of my favorite movies, Casino, was based on Frank Cullotta. I got excited! I always though it would be very cool to meet a real-life ex-mobster.
When my party arrived at the museum, a family member of mine, told the parking attendant that it was my Birthday. The parking attendant wish me, a Happy Birthday and he let us in to park. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the parking attendant got on his walkie talkie. After we parked the car, the parking attendant approached me and told me to go right in the gift shop because, Frank Cullotta was waiting for me to wish me a Happy Birthday. I couldn’t believe my luck or this parking attendant was full of it. To this day, I still don’t know.
So we went in, waiting for some friends to show up while we got our tickets. In the gift shop entryway, there was a sign out saying that Frank Cullotta was there signing his book. A friend of mine took a picture of me by the sign.
When we went in, That was when I first saw Frank, sitting there signing his books and taking pictures. There was a long line to meet him. So we decided to look around the shop until the line went down. After a bit there was no line, so I walked up and stood behind that person whom was having their copy of Frank’s book sign by him. After that person was done I thought I was next to meet Frank, as I started to walk up to him, but it had turned out that the man next to me was there before me and was next. That was kind of embarrassing. I let him go ahead and waited my turn.
When I finally walked up to meet Frank. He stood up and shook my hand. Then Frank asked me if I wanted a picture with him, and I said “Sure” so we took one, but some reason it didn’t turn out, then we took another one and to my surprise Frank hugged me as the picture was being taken. After that, Frank and I started to talk while the picture was printing. I told him that I’m a writer working on my first book about the Mafia. He was interested he then gave me the photo of us for free since it was my birthday and signed it for me. Afterwards we wished each other good-bye, and I went into the museum with my party. Little did I know, I will be seeing him again.
A few weeks later, I went to a book store and bought Frank’s book “Cullotta” and I read it. After I’ve finished the book, I thought what if he was on Facebook. So I found his Facebook fan page and got up the courage to message him telling him whom I was, and that I’ve enjoyed his book and meeting him.
A couple of days later, he replied to my message, and that is how our friendship began and through Frank, I met and made a lot of great friends. Thank’s to Frank’s help “Omerta Affair” was born and turn into a book.
what fuels me to continue? Is all of my fans!!!

“What do you want?” Her voice is spiteful, yet stubborn.
“I would be a little bit more polite Adaline.” The man pulls back his jacket showing her the gun tucked into his belt. “What I want is very simple, I want you to tell me everything that our dear friend Frank tells you. Can you?”
“And why would I do that?” demands Adaline, working up her courage once more. “I don’t even know who you are!”
“It’s simple, try don’t do what I want exactly, and your pretty little face and body won’t look so pretty. I think you won’t stay along above ground so that anyone will see the damage done to it.” The strange man smiles sweetly as he says this, almost as if he were telling her that her grandmother had baked her a cake and wanted him to deliver it to her personally.
“So save my number on your phone under a title that does not tie me to anything. I am the pizza guy. Whenever you see Frank, talk to Frank or hear anything that has to do with Frank I want to know about it. Believe me Adaline, if you do not tell me what happens I will know. Do you imagine that I know you are currently helping him with a little project and dug around in the mayor candidate’s offices?”
