The Gathering is a story in my new series called The Glorious Guild of Lady Windsurfer. It’s a futuristic, gay, erotic romance with elements of science fiction and steampunk and contains frottage and anal.

Nicola, a.k.a. Lady Windsurfer, is an inventor and scientist. She’s the one who is chronicling her and her friends’ adventures. This story is about her friend Jake and the man he meets. She also plays a small part in the book because…well, you just have to read it to find out. 😉

The Gathering is set for release on October 7 so be sure to look for it and pick up a copy at Evernight Publishing!

The year is 2112 and the world has changed…

Jake Landry is interested in having some fun. He’s in Las Vegas and has met up with his old friend Nicola Goodheart, a scientist and inventor who studies portals, other worlds and strange beings. Jake has also met and become enamored with Alexander, a gorgeous man with violet eyes. Jake goes with Nic on a portal finding mission, and they all end up in Alexander’s alien world.

Recruiter Alexander Bloodworth is interested in Jake for himself and in Nicola for placement in a pleasure house. When he hears word one of his people’s enemies are after Nicola and Jake, he goes to save them both, even at the peril of losing his job.

Will they risk their hopes and dreams—Alexander and Jake for a chance of love and Nicola for her career—or will they falter and lose everything anyway?

~ * ~ Excerpt ~ * ~

“You’re right again. My heart’s been thinking a lot of past boyfriends and girlfriends in my life. Seems every one of them has broken promises, cheated on me, left me. But you know what? That’s all in the past. I’m finally done with the military, unattached, and onto bigger and brighter things. Right now I just want to have some drinks and fun.” He held up his drink.

Alexander clinked his glass against Jake’s, drank and crooked a finger for Jake to lean toward him. “Let me tell you a secret. I watched you as you took a seat here, and told myself, ‘Go make that man’s acquaintance.’ Something about you drew me to you. I wanted to see if I could figure it out. I hope you do not find me too forward, but I really would like to kiss you.”

“Yeah? I think I’d like to take you up on that offer. Here or somewhere else?” A gentle shift of Alexander’s body brought him closer. The sudden longing for connection with another being almost knocked him off his seat. Jake mentally shook his head. Now he felt needy. He hated feeling clingy and desperate.

“A quiet corner is just over there. If we go sit behind a certain group of slot machines, no one will see us.”

Jake’s lips tingled with thoughts of kissing Alexander, but his instincts clicked on, warning him to be careful. “That’s weird ‘cause with how overcrowded the city is and how the casino business is booming, how could there be a corner that doesn’t have anyone in it?”

“The machines are useless and for show. Trust me. I was over there earlier and was alone most of the time.”

Jake wanted to grab his hand and exclaim, “Okay then. Let’s go.” As much as he wanted to find comfort in another’s arms and have a fling just for the sake of it, a deep part of him wanted something more from Alexander. And that something more needed time to grow and bloom into what he believed could be a beautiful relationship.

If I want to relax there nothing better than reading a book that’s true even on holiday I find its the best way to relax. My favourite holiday was when I went on a trip through Canada many years ago it was so beautiful I’d love to go back one day.
